Hillpoint Park is the primary Hunters Point public park – it is the promontory overlook to the shipyard waterfront open space system with a large, gently sloping lawn that creates an amphitheater-like environment to enjoy the views. CMG designed many custom and high-quality features into the public park, and several significant art installations are integrated within the park spaces to tell the story of the shipyard and community history.

The transformative 500-acre redevelopment project creates a new San Francisco neighborhood – rejoining a former dilapidated military base back into the surrounding communities of Bay View. CMG added 40 acres of parks and public space through the Open Space Master Plan and the Streetscape Master Plan. The new neighborhood destination is home to Hillpoint Park, Hillside Central Park, Innes Court Park, as well as 16 pocket parks – designed as a series of distinct public spaces to accommodate community gardens, dining terraces, overlooks, and informal play areas, all with spectacular views.
