Jiaqi is a Designer at CMG Landscape Architecture with four years of experience in Architecture and Landscape Architecture in China and the United States. Raised and educated in the Greater Bay Area of South China, he is dedicated to creating effective interventions for sophisticated built environments through design intuition and computation.
Following his participation in multiple constructed projects and regional planning during his early design education, Jiaqi was an Architectural and Computational Designer working across urban and rural areas in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. He has served 10 different academic positions in research and teaching with a recent focus on digital simulation and computational thinking.
Jiaqi was awarded the Howland Traveling Fellowship in 2022 and the National University Entrepreneurship Scholarship in 2017. His regional and ecological planning initiatives have been being published in esteemed journals such as Chinese Landscape Architecture in 2018 and Digital Landscape Architecture in 2024. Jiaqi holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Guangdong University of Technology.
