Chris is an Associate at CMG with ten years of experience. Using a creative and analytical lens, he approaches design with a layer of curiosity that stems from the outdoor explorations of his youth – spanning the Oak-Hickory forests of the Ohio River Valley to the Cambrian Coastline of Wales, UK.
He seeks to explore the integration of technology in the understanding of natural systems – implementing tools to create high-resolution aerial drone photography, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling in the site analysis stage. He enjoys fostering relationships with craftsmen and fabricators, expanding his technical understanding, and ensuring design is properly detailed and developed into thriving spaces.
Chris is a Licensed Landscape Architect in the state of California. While a student, he was awarded an Architecture Research and Travel Grant to document increasing desertification in Iceland, and an Analysis & Planning Student Honor Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Chris volunteers his time with professional organizations including the Ohio Chapter of the ASLA, holding the positions of emerging professional chair and Treasurer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture degree with Research Distinction from Ohio State University. Chris continues to maintain a relationship with his alma mater as a student mentor, guest critic, and teaching assistant.
