Ramon is a Designer at CMG Landscape Architecture with four years of experience. His unique mix of training in writing, drawing, and filmmaking bring an approach that centers observation and narrative. With an appreciation for the representation of landscapes and how perception shifts over time, he is interested in making moments that celebrate the beauty of the everyday.
Ramon is an empathic and seasoned communicator, with experience working in journalism, public agencies, and public commons focused non-profits. This multitude of perspectives makes him an experienced guide within stakeholder complexity and contested commons.
Ramon is a recipient of the Lowthorpe Traveling Fellowship, enabling continued research into film and video as a representational tool in the practice of landscape architecture. The award helped produce the short film Edges of Paris, which documented a week-long walk around the boundary of the French capital. He volunteers as a Bicycle Ambassador with the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and as Vice Chair of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Alumni Club of San Francisco. He has served as a visiting critic at RISD, Boston Architectural College, and UC Berkeley. Ramon holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from RISD and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning from University of California, Davis.
